about us
MTLA (Midwest Texas Longhorn Association) is an official affiliate of the ITLA (International Texas Longhorn Association). We are comprised of members from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. MTLA continues to grow and strive to move the Texas Longhorn breed forward in the Midwest.
Through our youth program we help kids ages 6-18 build confidence and leadership skills through showing these great cattle, it truly shines in through in the show ring.
our mission
The MTLA strives to create awareness of the Texas Longhorn Breed to all cattlemen and cattle-women young and old alike. It is also our goal to educate the consumer about the importance this breed plays in the history of the United States Beef Industry. Through our youth program we help kids ages 6-18 build confidence and leadership skills through showing these great cattle, it truly shines in through in the show ring.
